Some images that helped me

I found these image on a website about travel graphics from the 1920s and 30s. One girl i interviewed said she doesnt like the world cup and is just looking for to having fun in the summer. As im trying to create images from the past i used these images to get ideas on how to draw the image for this part. I used the second picture in the end for the final part and you see a women on a water ski crossing the screen.

These are some images i was going to use in my animation but have since decided not to. The first image was a nurse and was going to be used when someone mentioned people phoning up sick to work. I really wante dto included something about this but couldnt get it to really work so i left it out.

The other 2 image u cant really see to well but they are a record player and a record. Was going to use these in my opening scene with the people voices starting when the needle hit the record. I decided not to use it becasue felt the style didnt match the rest of the animation and didnt really need it.

After effects

Im going to be using After Effects to create my animation. I have got much exprience using it so ive been going through 100's of online tutorials. Ive been trying to find of sites with animations done by after effects, i looks at MK12's quite alot to get some ideas on how i can change scences by zooms and other methods

Animation style

Since collecting my audio and decideding on my story board a hard factor was deciding on the look of the animation. The world cup is full of history, the past games and players are always mentioned and shown on every world cup. I decided to give my animation this sort of fill. All the images ive drawn are based on the past. For example in one of my senes, "postcast" is mentioned, instead of showing an ipod symbol to reflect this i have drawn a walkman to represent portable music. My whole animation is like this, i think it makes it more intresting to view.

audio and storyboard complete

finally got enough audio to make up a storyboard. Its been much harder than i expected, most people didnt want to speak about the world cup and if they did most the time it was just about teams and players which i wanted to stay away from. Got some views about how players are seen, flags on cars , money etc. Main problem i had was i want to illstrate to go along with the qouates, as i only have a week left today ive had to really cut the quoates down so they are only about 10seconds each and are more like statements than views but they have still helped me created my future animation.

The first post

For my project i have been interviewing people about the impact that the world cup has on our culture. I have been recording the answers and with the best quate i will create a short animation to go along with the views. I want to stay away from typical football views and hopefully we create an animation about, the country being in a good mood, encomey etc but this will depend on the answer i recieve.
